American Red Cross – Although Milton Academy hosts yearly blood drives, students, faculty and staff can help or donate on your own.

Greater Boston Food Bank –see gbfb.org or inquire with Ms.Geyling-Moore about booking a potential date. Working in the main warehouse is now limited to volunteers ages 16 or older and parent waivers are required.

Cradles to Crayons Located at its new facility in Brighton, this organization collects lightly used kids clothing, toys, and school supplies for disadvantaged Boston area children. The Community Service Program sends large volunteer groups to its “Giving Factory” warehouse to sort donations during annual service days. Individual volunteers can contact them directly to help out in the warehouse or organize a donation drive.

Samaritans – this befriending hotline for teens struggling with depression or grief is staffed by peers in Boston. A few Milton Academy students have become involved in this over the years and found the work to be very rewarding.
