Speech Team Practices

Each student must meet with a base coach for a 30-minute session each week.

In preparation for some tournaments, the speech team will hold work nights or afternoons. (These will not conflict with dorm study hall.) Speech team members are required to attend. Work nights will be announced several days (usually three weeks) in advance.

The Speech Team meets during Tuesday Activities at 3:00 in Kellner, room 229.

Speech Tournaments

Tournaments are held on Saturdays (Massachusetts Forensic League and Boston Catholic Forensic League tournaments) from 6:30 a.m. (departure) until 9 p.m. (return to Milton.)

Students must be at the tournament until the end of the awards ceremony (unless there is an emergency or special occasion approved by the director).

Tournaments start in October and run throughout the entire school year culminating in two national tournaments held in May and June.
