Teaching Philosophy:
I strongly believe that the process of making art is cumulative, the more one produces, the better the results. I also believe it requires an environment that fosters creativity, patience, perseverance and respect. By taking their time an practicing their skills, the students begin to realize that self-discipline permits self expression. With each new creative endeavor the student learns to see more clearly and how to be more resourceful. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to encourage honesty and a willingness to work hard. In order for this to happen, I must be patient and know how to listen. knowing when to say less helps me from imposing my way of seeing the world on any one student.
Art Philosophy:
"Art is an attempt to come to terms with life. There are as many solutions as there are human beings." George Tooker
