Research Help

The librarians are available for in-class and small group instruction in Cox, a computer lab or your classroom.  We would love to help you:

  • by introducing your class to our databases in general and to those specifically of value to your class’ needs
  • by collaborating on a Resource Guide that highlights the project’s scope and which resources will be most useful
  • by helping students understand how to avoid plagiarism and how to cite sources appropriately

As librarians, we are trained in helping students and faculty avoid information overload by suggesting search strategies that lead to quality resources.  We are also trained in assisting with creating flipped instruction, ensuring that your students have the information they need to successfully research their topics.

Borrowing materials from other libraries
If you need books or articles that you cannot find at Cox Library, we may be able to help you find them in another library via our Inter-Library Loan connections.

We strongly encourage students and faculty to obtain a Milton Public Library card; holders may also borrow books from the Boston Public Library system and have books sent to the Milton PL.
