COLLEGE OFFICE
CLASS OF 2009 NEWSLETTER #4
á April 1, 2008 á
* Welcome
back! If you have not completed your first meeting with a college counselor, please come by the
College Office in Straus ASAP to sign up with any one of the four college
counselors. First meetings must be completed by Monday,
April 7.
For
your first meetingÉ
o Turn in your Student Response
Form (SRF) with essay the day before your meeting.
o Your advisor should
also attend your first scheduled meeting.
(Please provide your advisor with a copy of your SRF prior to the
meeting.) It is your
responsibility to find out your advisor's free periods and schedule a meeting
accordingly.
o Please honor the time
slot you sign up for. When you
cancel at the last minute, that time slot is often unable to be filled by
another junior and is then wasted.
o Weekly sign-up sheets
for appointments are posted every Thursday morning for the following weekÕs
schedule in the College Office (first office on the right as your enter
Straus). Remember, you must meet
with two different college counselors for your two required meetings this year.
* The registration deadline for the May 3 SAT and Subject Tests
is April 1; late registration (which charges an additional fee) runs through
April 10. You should register at www.collegeboard.com. Students are responsible for their
own SAT registration. (Milton
Academy is a test site for the May 3 SAT and Subject Tests.)
