Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, this academic enrichment program for independently motivated fourth, fifth and sixth grade public school children has enrolled over 5,000 students since its inception in 1978.  Students who attend the program on Saturday mornings enjoy hands-on courses which focus on subjects such as physics, architecture, biology, creative writing, Web design, watercolor painting and photography.  Milton thanks the many friends of the Saturday Course who recognize and support this program that meets the intellectual needs of many gifted, talented and independently motivated children.

The Mountain School Program at Milton Academy
The Mountain School is in its 25th year.  Each semester, 45 high school juniors come from public and private schools throughout the United States to live and study on a working farm.  Students experience demanding academics with an emphasis on the natural world, outdoor and farm activities and the social experience of community life. Support of parents, alumni and friends of the Mountain School testifies to the program's strength.  For information about The Mountain School, write Trudy Amber-Dowlin, assistant to the director, 151 Mountain School Road, Vershire, VT 05079; call 802-685-4520; visit www.mountainschool.org; or email trudy.amber@mountainschool.org.
