Girls' Hockey Coaches

Head Coach:  Deanna McDevitt

  • Coach McDevitt graduated from Milton Academy in 1999 where she captained the ice hockey and lacrosse teams. She played her college hockey at Yale University (1999–2003) where she earned two-time MVP and ECAC all-academic honors.      
  • Upon graduation in 2003, Coach McDevitt joined the faculty at Kimball Union Academy where she taught math and science and coached the girls’ soccer, ice hockey and lacrosse teams for five years.
  • Coach McDevitt returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach for the 2008–2009 season.
  • She was born and raised in South Boston and currently resides in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Assistant Coach: Kelli Doolin

  • Coach Doolin was a former standout at Kents Hill where she captained the hockey, field hockey and softball teams. She was named Team MVP in 2003 and 2004. 
  • Coach Doolin played her collegiate hockey for Providence College. She served as an assistant captain in her junior year and captained the team in her senior season. She received the 2007–2008 Captain’s Award for her leadership and also earned the team’s Unsung Hero Award.
  • Before coming to Milton, Coach Doolin was the head coach for Quincy High School’s girls’ varsity program. In addition to her duties at Milton, Doolin coaches the Boston Jr. Terriers Program U14 and U19 girls’ teams and resides in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Goaltending Coach: Tim Kelleher

  • Coach Kelleher is a former goalie/captain at St. Sebastian’s school where he was named ISL MVP after his senior season. 
  • A standout goalie for Boston College (1999–2003), Coach Kelleher earned hockey-east All Academic Team recognition as well as hockey-east defensive player of the week honors.
  • Coach Kelleher played five seasons professionally—three years in Italy, one year in the Netherlands, and one year in Oklahoma.
  • Coach Kelleher was born and raised in Belmont, Massachusetts, and currently resides in South Boston, Massachusetts.

Strength and Conditioning Coach: Steve Darling

  • Coach Darling has 18 years of experience working with elite high school athletes and ice hockey players. He oversees all pre-season, in-season and off-season workouts.
  • Coach Darling will work with all players on improving their speed, power, strength, balance, coordination, agility and overall athleticism. He oversees our Milton Hockey Physical Testing conducted in September and June.
  • Coach Darling is a member of the Off-Ice Training Staff of the Mass. Select Hockey Training Program during the summer months.
  • A graduate of Northeastern University, Coach Darling is the Head of Norris House on the Milton campus and resides with wife Kelly and two sons (Jack 8 and Henry 6).
