Dartmouth Fall Foliage Junior Tournament

At the Fall Foliage Junior Squash Tournament at Dartmouth College, October 6-7, 2007, there were eight players from Milton Academy.

Casey Cortes and Alli Rubin, both varsity players, were to meet in the GU19 division, but Casey defaulted because of injury.  Alli went on to finish fourth in the division.

Caroline Palmer, in the GU17 division, made it to the quarter finals of the main draw before losing, and also made it to the quarters in the Consolation before yielding.

No Milton players entered the GU15 or GU13.

Amory Bennett, co-captain of the boysÕ varsity team, played in the BU19 division.  He lost in the quarterfinals of the main draw, and then made it to the semis of the Consolation, before yielding.

In the BU17 group, there were two Milton players, Will Sullivan and Reed Palmer.  Reed lost his first match and then played on until the second round of Consolation.  Will, a varsity player for Milton, had a successful tournament, winning his division against some very stiff competition.

Sam Shieffer was the sole Milton student in the BU15s.  He won his first match, and finally lost in the Quarters, and he then went on and made it to the third round of the Consolation before losing.

The BU13s had one Milton student, Will McBrian.  Will lost his first match to a very advanced player, and then went on, finally losing in the second round of the Consolation.

The Milton students supported each other throughout the tournament, and enjoyed themselves, preparing for the upcoming ISL tournaments.
