Girls 1600m relay team broke the school record Saturday and the boys improved their standing to 4th all-time. The boys 400m relay teams also moved up the chart to #3 all-time and the girls improved on their standing at #3 inching just 0.11s closer to second place. This season, Liz Bloom (captain) tied the school record on a particularly fast day for the 100m and both Adrian Alston-Moore (#10) and André Lima (#8) recorded times that moved them onto a list that hadn't moved in four years. Saturday both Shavonne Hart (captain) and Samantha Barkowski joined the ranks of the top ten. Shavonne for the first time at #10 and Sam working her way up the list to #7. In the 400m Olivia Irving jumped onto the charts in Saturday's meet with a time that landed her at #9 - great for a Class IV scholar-athlete and Chris Cote managed to bump out of sixth place joining only two other quarter-milers in this century to break the top ten. S. Wilson Collins ran his way to #10 in the 800m run - the first change on that list since 2001 Jasmine Reid captured the 100m hurdle NEPSTA title (securing her #3 spot) and the 300m hurdle NEPSTA title breaking her own record in the 300m. Ijeoma Duru managed her way to #9 this season in the shot put. Beverly Leo moved into 3rd place all time in the triple jump and James Williams (captain) triple jumped his way into seventh all-time marking only the second boys to join the list post 1998. In the pole vault, Sam Barkowski improved her standing to 5th all-time and Stephen Pawlak- another promising Class IV - joined the list at #9.
