Second baseman, Alex Jaeger smartly chased the runner back to first and made a timely throw to pick off the runner retreating to first base. Milton hopes to carry some of this offensive momentum when they face St. George's at home on Wednesday.

Offensively the Mustangs were successful with 8 hits against one of the league's best pitchers but lacked some timely hitting and left 11 runners on base. Sophia Rabb, Caitlin Hickey and Chelsey Locarno all had 2 hits. One of Rabb's hits would have surely scored a run but was called a ground rule double. Mary Bruynell and Alana Dovner each had one hit. The team continues to improve, and despite the score, realizes that they were a couple of hits away from being right in this one. The Mustangs will take on St. Paul's at home on Wednesday.
