Milton Senior, Ben Bosworth, is USATF National Youth 1500 Meter Champion

Bosworth USATF 1500 Meter Champion!
Bosworth '13 (Center) 1500m Champion!

Ben Bosworth is frequently seen running around the campus, the track, the streets and the trails of Milton. This past weekend his running took him to the USATF Youth Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Landover, Maryland.

On Saturday, the Milton senior raced in the 800 meter and finished 4th in a hotly contested race earning him a spot on the medal stand.   The very next day he took the line in the 1500 meter race, a distance he considers his best event. In a tactically run race, Ben settled in with the lead pack, remained patient and, with 300 meters to go, he used his leg speed to out sprint his competition and earn a national title. The top four runners in the race all beat the previous meet record with national champion Ben setting the new mark.

While Ben was proud to wear gold over his orange and blue, he looks forward to training and racing alongside his Milton outdoor track and field teammates as they compete for the ISTA Championship.
