Milton’s K–8 curriculum is interdisciplinary and flexible. Faculty correlate students’ work to highlight authentic connections across disciplines. Projects in science might be integrated with work in literature, mathematics, and geography, for instance. Projects in art might lead to those in world cultures and music. Electronic media might serve as one of many means of expression. The intellectual energy boys and girls invest in connecting their experiences helps them grasp content and concepts. It builds a framework for better questions and more sophisticated appreciation.
