Dormitories
Taking Shape
Two new Milton houses are taking shape. Once considered as
two separate building projects, Milton is now building the
two dormitories together; they will be ready to house students
for the 2004–2005 school year. The dorms will allow
Milton to bring the number of day students and boarding students
to parity, in keeping with the School's historical tradition.
Each of the new Milton houses has a distinctive character.
They are linked by a common dining room that overlooks the
varsity soccer and lacrosse fields. New England brick and
clapboard exteriors unite these three-story houses with other
Milton buildings; dormers and the variegated roof lines maintain
the feel of the existing campus.

"Gilpin"
House on the Move
The two new dorms will create a quadrangle
with Hallowell House and Centre Street. The relocation of
"Gilpin" house to its new foundation at the western
end of the quadrangle, facing Centre Street is just one of
the many transformations to take place this spring.
