Maggie Stark's (art department) Accidental Vision, a mixed media installation, is currently on display at The Boston Sculptors at Chapel Gallery through Sunday, December 16.
Accidental Vision, the title of Maggie's exhibition, was inspired by a car accident in which Maggie had three vertebrae in her neck broken when her car was hit head on by a drunken driver in May of 2000. Much of the imagery in the exhibition is conceptually tied to this accident. Using clocks, telescopes, light, glass and medical scans of her cervical vertebrae, Maggie explores mortality and vulnerability.
