Don't Forget Tsunami Victims' Needs, Students Argue

April 2005

The Tsunami Relief Coalition is planning a spectacular night of great food and student entertainment to bring aid and support to the tsunami victims whose needs, the students feel, are as urgent as they have ever been, despite early international help. The Coalition will hold a gala event and silent auction in the Kellner Performing Arts Center on May 7, at 8:00 p.m. Proceeds will go to the tsunami victims through Habitat for Humanity International.

The event will feature Milton’s own jazz, instrumental, and vocal groups while students, their families, and faculty enjoy items featured in the evening’s silent auction and raffle. Items include four seats at Fenway Park to see the World Series Champions, the Boston Red Sox; handmade jewelry by Sophia Kortchmar and Nancy Serventi; and gift certificates to businesses in the Milton area.
