Ed Ellison, a member of the Mathematics Department and coach of Milton's boys' cross country team, recently returned from Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he competed in the Track & Field National Masters Championships.

Ed finished 6th in both the 800m and 1500m events in the 40-44 age group. His time of 2:04.45 in the 800 meters run earned him All-American honors.

The Championships, held July 25 -28th at Bernie Moore Track Stadium at Louisiana State University, were open to all women and men 30 years of age and older with current USATF Memberships. More than 800 athletes were registered to compete for national titles in five-year age groups from 30-34 and up, to 90-94 and 95 and above.
