Milton seniors Tim Daniels and Omar Longus will be honored May 10,
as top scholar-athletes at the 29th awards dinner of the Eastern
Massachusetts chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall
of Fame.
The National Football Foundation High School Scholar-Athlete Awards
honor the best of the best at the high school level. Representing
thousands of high school players across the nation, 3,000 scholar-athletes
are selected each year by 118 local chapters of The National Football
Foundation for their superior academic and athletic performance
as well for their leadership and community service. A committee
of college and high school administrators and members of the media
selected the 22 Eastern Massachusetts awardees.
The goal of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of
Fame is to promote amateur football and to preserve the spirit of
the game, its character-building attributes and its vital role in
the education process.
