Milton-Nobles Day: Tradition and Rivalry

On Saturday, November 9, Milton's gridiron will host Noble & Greenough for the schools' 106th football matchup as each team vies for the Stokinger Bowl.

Although the football rivalry began 106 years ago, it has expanded to include competition in soccer and field hockey. This year Milton and Nobles will celebrate a 28-year field hockey rivalry, 55-year boys' soccer rivalry and 24-year girls' soccer rivalry.

The century-old athletic rivalry between Milton Academy and Noble and Greenough is as popular among the alumni as it is among students. Each November, as the two schools square off in fierce competition, Milton Academy alumni and their Nobles counterparts lace up their cleats for the annual alumni soccer game.

A biannual event, Milton-Nobles day epitomizes the y best in athletics – a strong traditional rivalry that includes spirited competition, mutual respect and good sportsmanship.

Join graduates, parents and friends in celebrating Milton-Nobles day on Saturday, November 9, 2002.
