About the Program

Milton Academy’s sailing team is comprised of roughly 30 sailors from all four grades. The squad is split into a varsity team and the JV program. The school is a member of the New England Schools Sailing Association (NESSA), which emphasizes team racing.  Both the varsity and JV teams practice four days a week on Marina Bay in the school’s twelve Club 420s and compete on most Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the season. The Milton Sailing program is consistently striding to be one of the top programs in the country and competes regularly for the New England Championship as well as National level events.

Sportsmanship, skill development and student growth are the hallmarks of the program. Whether you are an experienced sailor or a beginner, Milton’s goal is to use sailing as way to not only make you a better sailor, but also help grow you into a leader who will add value to whatever place awaits you after graduation. Our off-campus sailing facilities, experienced coaches, and skilled athletic staff work together to give every sailor opportunity to grow and look back at Milton with fondness.
