MILTON ANIMAL SHELTER
Just down the road, the Town of Milton runs its own Animal Shelter. They have a policy of NO euthanizing. Volunteer trips tend to run weekdays during pd.6-7. Help is needed to clean cat cages, feed and play with individual cats, as well as walking dogs.

PERFORMANCES for elders and CURRENT EVENTS
This is an opportunity to bring great joy to residents of homes for disabled and elderly communities. We are looking for musicians, singers, dancers and speech team members of all genres to perform on a regular or occasional basis. These are informal recitals which we arrange for particular dates after school. Volunteers interested in discussing current events with residents on a weekly basis have been a big hit as well.

Occasional special projects run by ArtStreet, Inc., ie. Sidewalk Sam, are directed at community revival via city beautification. Students help paint murals onto walls and sidewalks in downtown Boston. During cooler months they may work indoors with Sidewalk Sam (Bob Guillemin) and his wife Tina on craft projects which are sold to raise funds for local charities. This is a fantastic opportunity for student artists (or anyone!) to be creative, while impacting the community and getting to know an inspiring man who is an accomplished artist, philosopher, and friend of Milton Academy.
