Milton is an academically
rigorous school, but it is also a nurturing one. Students experience
this important balance between the head and heart as members of
Milton’s century-old boarding program. A diverse group of
320 students live in eight, single-sex residential “houses”
that are family style and intimate. Led by 54 skilled and seasoned
residential faculty, the boarding program is one of Milton’s
defining strengths.
"I love Robbins House. Academics are important
for everyone, and the girls are loving and willing to help. The
dorm faculty is really involved – but their approach is balanced.
I love the fact that they have been working there for so long. It’s
very homey, and they are a source of knowledge and wisdom. It’s
a safe haven, and everyone needs a safe haven."
—Kelsey Hudson, Blue Hill, Maine
"Milton does residential life really well:
With four years in the same dorm, you really feel like you’re
coming home every year. Having students from all four classes promotes
a sense of community or family – and the faculty has been
there for years. The faculty are all so invested in your experience.
I know that people care about me – about where I am, all the
time."
—Hannah Gallo, Concord, Massachusetts
