| Performing arts courses and programs educate students about the discipline of a particular kind of performance, to appreciate the work of others, to prepare for a lifelong interest, and to embrace those experiences which can bring beauty and meaning into their lives. The performing arts department has a very public program. More than half of our offerings take place in performance spaces before audiences of students, parents and faculty. We mount 10 plays a year including dramas, comedies and musicals. In addition, we present a yearly dance concert and help with other campus performances including theme assemblies and senior baccalaureate.
