Let's Get MUSICAL.
Our talented faculty helps students develop the skills of making music through learning a wide variety of pieces and sharing them with an audience. Exposure to different composers and artists—spanning centuries and cultures—and practicing those pieces not only strengthens technical skills like chord progressions or harmonizing, but helps students build a greater appreciation and deeper interest for the music.
Milton's State-of-the-Art Music Facilities
The Kellner Performing Arts Center is the hub of Milton’s musical life. It features dedicated classroom space for the choral, orchestral, and jazz music programs, 10 practice rooms for individuals and small groups, and several pianos for student use. Inside Kellner, concerts take place in the Ruth King Theatre and the Arts Commons. Musical groups also perform in spaces across campus, such as in Apthorp Chapel and Straus Library.

Private Lessons
For students wishing to go even deeper in their music instruction, a number of adjunct faculty offer private lessons on campus. Additionally, several local renowned institutions also offer opportunities for private lessons as well as participation in ensembles:
