The San Francisco architect Anne Torney ’83 enjoys discussing why she’s so passionate about her work as an architect of urban affordable housing. Its design, she says, offers the potential to address two of the most important issues of our time: social inequity and climate change. One of three managing partners at Mithun, a 200-person architecture firm with offices in Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, Torney heads up the San Francisco office, where she leads a 40-person team of architects, landscape architects, planners, and interior designers.
