The fourth annual “Art with a Social Conscience” exhibition will showcase artwork by students from more than 20 New England secondary schools. The 300 submitted works, explore the themes of “Identity, Diversity and Justice.”
This year’s judges include: Dorothy Krause, Mass. College of Art; Elizabeth Awalt, award-winning painter and former Boston College professor; Mac Dewart ’66, the Boston Sculptor’s Group; Marty Cain, formerly of Pine Manor College; and Vaughn Sills of Simmons College.
The show will be open to Milton Academy students on Friday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. during arts night. It will be open to the public on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. An awards ceremony and reception will take place on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
