Summary of Position:
This is a seasonal position beginning in late May and ending in early August. The enrichment leader will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate programming each day. The enrichment leader will have experience-leading children in various activities, preferably as a classroom teacher or summer camp leader. The enrichment leader is enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative, and flexible.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Enrichment leaders are responsible for initiating and implementing a program within a particular program area. These program areas could include but are not limited to: science, sports and games, arts and crafts, gardening, acting, nature/wildlife studies, technology, robotics, performing arts, archery, yoga, baking, etc.
- Enrichment leaders will lead programming for campers that introduces or enhances new learning or skills within their activities.
- Will work in tandem with counselors to provide meaningful, enriching programming for campers.
- Provide regular feedback to counselors to ensure professional improvement and growth.
- Communicate regularly with Camp Director in regard to supply and support needs, scheduling, and any camper issues.
- Responsible for keeping their workspaces clean and ready for each class period.
- Use weekly supply budget to maximize programming.
- Be willing to assist with any additional camp needs.
- Be present for weekly staff meetings.
