Milton Academy’s Department of Equity, Inclusion, and Justice invites you to
A Conversation with Paul Gorski and Katy Swalwell
May 31, 2022
6–7:30 p.m. ET
(this event will not be recorded)
With all the confusion and competing definitions, it can be difficult to know what people and organizations mean when they use the word “equity.” In this workshop, we will demystify the term and, using examples we’ve heard from students at schools across the United States, demonstrate what equity is and why it’s important to everybody. We also will explore what it means to be an ally or advocate, or to invest even more of ourselves in ensuring positive, equitable school experiences for all members of a school community.
