Summary of Position:

The Grade 7 math teacher fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment focused on innovative teaching practices and student engagement. The individual is also expected to actively support students, create a positive classroom environment, and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning styles as needed. This position primarily involves instructing courses in pre-algebra and algebra, providing students with the following mathematical skills and habits of mind: computational fluency and conceptual understanding, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. Units include rational numbers, geometry, and probability. This role requires the development and ongoing review of curriculum and course materials.

Base Salary: For the 2025–26 academic year, faculty salaries range from $50,000 to $120,000 annually. Placement within this range is determined by years of experience, in alignment with Milton Academy’s faculty salary scale, which is designed to ensure equitable pay progression.

Housing Stipend: Lower and Middle School Faculty members are not eligible to live on campus as part of the Upper School residential life program; therefore, they will also receive an annual stipend of $12,600 (in 2025-26) in addition to the base salary listed above.

NOTE: Compensation for leave coverage positions will be prorated based on the duration of the appointment.
