Kevin Lee (I) is undefeated on the wrestling mat this winter. With a season record of 15–0, Kevin clinched the Independent School League championship title in the 152-pound weight class this weekend, winning four matches.
“What I like about wrestling is the work ethic,” says Kevin. “There is a strong mental aspect that teaches you how to concentrate. It also develops your character.” Kevin started wrestling in sixth grade, following in the footsteps of his older brother. He has wrestled since, this year focusing on competing at his highest level.
“Kevin is a driven, hard-working young man,” says wrestling coach Chris Hales. “He leads by example and is always willing to help others—both as captain of the wrestling team and as house monitor in Forbes House. Kevin is undefeated on the mat this year, but that is just a small part of what he does for the program.”
Also a talented pole-vaulter, Kevin will be competing on the track and field team at Emory University next year.
