The Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers traveled across the pond to the shores and moors of Ireland to perform shows in Belfast, Armaugh, Dublin and Galway. The group is also visiting some of the country’s historic sights, including the Giants Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher. Dr. Don Dregalla, music department chair, hopes students gain an appreciation of Irish culture and history, as well as an enhanced love of ensemble performance, through “living and breathing the music for a concentrated span of time.”
Before boarding a plane to begin their spring break tour, Milton’s musicians took the stage in King Theatre for the Margaret Filoon Robertson Pre-Tour Concert. Students performed music by Beethoven, Mozart and other classical composers.
