Milton Academy is an independent college preparatory K–12 school, boarding and day in grades 9–12, located just outside of Boston.

Milton Academy seeks a lower school classroom teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching math, reading, writing, and social studies. In addition to outstanding teaching ability, we seek a teacher who is inquisitive, self-directed and team-oriented.

  • Competence with progressive teaching approaches

  • Knowledge of technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience partnering with parents

A demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive community is essential. Additional key qualities for this position include warmth, compassion, cultural competence, flexibility, and humility. A successful candidate will be able to work effectively and constructively with faculty, staff, administrators, and parents for the benefit of students and the community.

Teacher certification is not required.
