Summary of Position:
Milton Academy is seeking a full-time Learning Specialist to join the Lower School for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Learning Specialist plays a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, working collaboratively with the Learning Resource Team to facilitate student support services. This role involves partnering with teachers to ensure all students receive the resources they need to thrive academically.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of learning differences and a passion for helping students reach their full potential in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
The Learning Specialist will provide classroom support, including administering academic assessments, providing supplemental instruction for unique student needs identified from assessment data collected, participating in standing meetings with teachers about student support, documenting and communicating interventions and progress with team members and caregivers, and planning instruction aligned with the scope and sequence. Additionally, the Learning Specialist will also engage with students as a part of school life and will attend to all administrative responsibilities of the position.
