Milton has a new Chief Advancement Officer: Kelly DeGregorio. Following a highly competitive national search, Ms. DeGregorio will join the Milton community on April 22.

“Kelly is joining Milton at an exciting time,” states Head of School Alixe Callen ‘88. “We’re embarking on our strategic planning process and, in today’s competitive landscape, it’s critical that Milton is supported with the resources we need to maintain our position as a leader among independent schools.”

Ms. DeGregorio has a 25-year track record of developing philanthropic programs that drive bold ideas into fruition. Since 2018, she has served as the vice president for institutional advancement at Boston College High School—an independent day school for grades 7–12 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. As chief fundraiser, Ms. DeGregorio planned and executed the school’s $125 million capital campaign, Illuminating Excellence. This comprehensive campaign was the largest fundraising effort in BC High’s history. In parallel, she created and implemented successful planned and annual giving strategies, reimagined alumni volunteer engagement, and led relationship-building initiatives across all of BC High’s constituencies.

Ms. DeGregorio is known for her mission-driven approach and she understands the enormous impact successful philanthropic efforts can have in supporting an institution’s goals. She is also a collaborative and trusted thought partner with deep experience building high-performing teams, steering long- and short-term planning, and effectively engaging with all school stakeholders—all qualities that will serve her well as Milton’s Chief Advancement Officer.

Ms. DeGregorio’s prior professional experience also includes serving as assistant vice president for major gifts at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she led major and principal gift initiatives for the cancer, women’s health, newborn medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology departments as a component of the hospital’s $1.5 billion comprehensive campaign. Her extensive experience in fundraising, as well as her specific experience at BC High, make her uniquely qualified to lead Milton’s advancement efforts as the school strives to meet its own goals in the years ahead.

“We have a bold vision for our future, and Kelly’s experience and enthusiastic personality make her a wonderful addition to Milton as we move our community forward,” says Dr. Callen. “I’m looking forward to seeing how our Development and Alumni Relations team, under Kelly’s leadership, will continue to spark excitement, pride, and engagement in Milton’s alumni and family communities to help us achieve our goals.”
