The Jazz Dessert on February 1 kicked off an important month for all of us: Black History Month.  Onyx and the Diversity Office have put together a great series of exciting and educational events for the community.  The Jazz Dessert featured selections from jazz band students and a brief discussion of the historical significance of jazz to African-American culture.

Enjoy performances by on- and off-campus talent in a formal setting. Enjoy superb Southern cuisine. Emcee: Matthew Tramell.

Artist: Cullen Washington, 3 p.m.–4:30 p.m., Straus Library
Interact with a premier Boston visual artist as he presents his work. Mr. Cullen’s work will be on display in Cox Library throughout the month.

African Dance/Drum Workshop, All Day, Dance Studio
Learn how to dance to the rhythms of West African drums. Master instructors. Classes only available to students and faculty.
