Milton Academy, established in 1798, is an independent coeducational national boarding and day school, serving 1,000 students in grades K-12, on a 125-acre campus eight miles south of Boston.
Milton Academy is seeking a part-time dance teacher with a demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community for a one-year sabbatical position starting in September 2019.
The teacher will teach a survey course in dance technique and support two dance concerts. Experience in teaching modern dance, ballet, choreography, and other styles of dance at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels is a necessity, as is a willingness to mentor student choreographers. A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred; teacher certification is not required.
