At the Catholic National Tournament, an annual, year-end speech competition among qualifiers from over 500 schools, Milton students secured positions in the top quartile in their different categories. District tournaments in 65 regions of the United States determine which students qualify to compete at the culminating tournament, held this year in Baltimore, Maryland. At the close of the competition, Elizabeth Stanfield (I) and Louis McWilliams (I) placed ninth in Duo Interpretation; Elizabeth Siphron (II) placed 18th in Prose/Poetry Interpretation; and Martin Page (I) had earned a spot among the top 25 in Congressional Debate.
