Summer Camp at Milton Academy
Registration for the 2025 season is open on December 2
Programming
Each Week campers will rotate through a variety of activities led by experienced teachers and camp professionals. Each week, campers will always participate in sports and games, Crafts and more, swim lessons, and technology. The secondary activities in the daily rotation vary depending on the availability of the teachers throughout the summer. Some of the most common ones are listed below. Activities are tailored to be age appropriate and often are driven by campers’ interests.
Swim Lessons/Free Swim
Designed to help campers feel more comfortable in the water, each camper will have a swim lesson period each day. These lessons are taught by American Red Cross certified lifeguards and aim to teach the basics of swimming. Our camp is diligent in ensuring that the camper to lifeguard ratio always meets the state requirements. Campers who are not strong swimmers are welcome to wear a lifejacket or other flotation devices during their swim period.
Sports and Games
Centered in the Lower School gymnasium, campers are able to play a variety of sports and active camp games. Some of the games that campers might play include: soccer, capture the flag, kickball, tag games, and much more.
Coding and Technology
During this rotation period, campers are able to learn and gain comfort with technology and coding using programs such as Minecraft, Roblox, Scratch, and Flowlab. Through these programs, they gain familiarity with 2d animation, video game design and other computer related skills.
Crafts and more!
Crafts and more gives campers the opportunity to create a variety of different products through a wide range of mediums. Campers learn camp favorites like friendship bracelet making, pony bead crafts, and gimp. In addition, crafts and more allows campers to have more open ended art projects where they are able to use materials available to them to let their imagination run wild.
