College Admissions Landscape Update

The Boston Independent School College Counselors Association (BISCCA) invites you to an interactive webinar with four leading college admission professionals for an update on the 2020–2021 college admissions landscape. As we know, the college admission landscape has experienced significant change in recent months. And our panel will help us identify the most significant changes, while helping us keep them in healthy perspective.

Date: Tuesday, October 20
Time: 7:00 pm, EST
Invitation Link: Please find the link in Schoology

Panelists:
• Mike Drish, Director of First-Year Admission, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
• Kate Guertin, Associate Director of New England Recruitment, Dickinson College
• Peter Wilson, Deputy Dean and Director of Admission, University of Chicago
• Ken Sawada, Associate Director of Admission, Syracuse University

Discussion topics include:
• Colleges’ transition to a test-optional review process for the 2020-21 academic year (and beyond)?
• Financial Aid Changes and Updates.
• Potential college enrollment shifts in response to the ongoing pandemic and national calls for racial justice and equity.
• And perhaps most important, how can we continue to support and advocate for our seniors as they navigate a less certain college admissions landscape?
