Each year Class I students are asked to make a gift to the Milton Fund as a statement of support of Milton. This support sets a standard of giving and inspires others to support Milton. Select members of the graduating class serve as class agents and help educate their classmates about the importance of giving to the Milton Fund.

WHY DOES MILTON NEED TO RAISE EXTRA MONEY?

Tuition and endowment income alone aren’t enough to supply all that makes Milton exceptional for students and faculty. Gifts to the Milton Fund fill this gap. Year after year, Milton alumni, parents, and friends give to the Milton Fund to support the education of current students. They supplement your financial aid, faculty salaries, sports equipment, community service programs, and student publications.

HOW MIGHT MY GIFT TO THE MILTON FUND BE USED?

A gift of $25 from 40 Class I students would cover the cost of hosting all of the colleges that come to visit Milton throughout the year.

A gift of $20 from 60 Class I students would pay for all of the travel expenses (vans, gas, etc.) for community service programs in one year.

A gift of $10 from 100 Class I students would provide all of the costumes for the Dance Concert.

A gift of $5 from 50 Class I students would buy a microscope for the science department.

IS MY SMALL GIFT REALLY HELPFUL?

Yes! The impact of a small gift should not be underestimated. Last year, over 55% of gifts to the Milton Fund from alumni, parents and friends were $100 or less. Your PARTICIPATION is important. Feeling inspired? Make your gift now!

HOW CAN I MAKE MY GIFT?

There are many options! You can stop by the office of Development & Alumni Relations and deliver your gift in person, visit us online at www.www.milton.edu/donate or mail a check to the Office of Development & Alumni Relations 170 Centre St., Milton, MA 02186.

HOW CAN I HELP EVEN MORE?

You may choose to support Milton at the leadership level. By making a $100 (or more) gift to the Milton Fund you join a network of young alumni leadership donors known as the Orange & Blue Circle. By virtue of their generous commitments, these alumni and students sustain Milton’s quality education as they join the next generation of the School’s leaders. You can also become a Development Ambassador, working directly with our development department to connect with Milton alum and classmates. Lastly, you can share why you love Milton with others on social media.
